Britt & Kelley

Britt Gentry

Britt grew up riding, training, and showing horses. Her family owned Gentry Crest Farms where they trained most of their own horses. This led her and Harley (pictured) to winning Reserve World’s Champion Roadster Pony Under Saddle in 2004. She received the American Saddlebred Horse Association scholarship the following year. As a vet tech she worked with multiple animals which led her to her job as the manager of Magnolia Hall Saranalaya Horse Sanctuary for ten years. Now she is using her gifts on our farm.

  • Refuge

Refuge - Condition of being safe and sheltered from pursuit, danger, or harm

When we found our farm, from the first moment it felt like we could breathe. That feeling has stayed with us and when we leave we always feel a sense of coming back into safety as we pass through the gates. For our animals, it has become a refuge from the cruelty of the world.

  • Rescue

Rescue - Free from confinement or danger, to save, deliver

Once we found this refuge, we realized it rescued us from the confinement we felt living in the city. Each animal that comes to stay can begin to heal from the lives they had before. Our hope is that as we all heal, we will create a better life.

  • Renewal

Renewal - Repair the damage and make whole again.

Our final hope is for renewal of the land, our animals, and ourselves. In a safe space away from danger and confinement, we are able to repair what has harmed us and become whole again. Through bio-diversity, we are rebuilding our land so that it can be the home our animals deserve. One that is reduces that environmental harm and focuses on a healthy future.
